Your site is great Dad! We are looking forward to the 4th!
I really like the mood faces
Your Bio is an amazing read, even for those who know you. The Weller Boys were very lucky to have grown up listening to great music!

JOHN CLARE....You are going to be MISSED by ALL of us who value great music as you leave Las Vegas and your position as music director of Classical KCNV. We wish you happiness and good fortune in your new position and hope that you will return often to the City that is truly in your debt for your many contributions. Bon chance, my friend, you are truly our "Unassuming Genius!"

Hi Hal, You may not remember me, but I was a student of yours in conducting class at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ. I always thought you were amazing and quite handsome. I am also a friend of Woody Norvell's, who introduced me to your website. I am so happy with all your successes and wish you the best in your future retirement. My best, Susan Gerkin

What's all this nonsense about retiring?
There are far too many pieces that have not passed through your tender care and on to the ears of Las Vegas' more discriminating residents! Besides, if you DO retire, you'll drive Betsy crazy!
(Although, you COULD pop over to the East coast for a visit; it's changed a lot in 30 years!) You've always got a place to "crash" with me. I'm sure Linda & Judy would love to see you, too.
Finally, remember the words of my very wise aunt, who said: "When I retire, I may WEAR out, but I'm not going to RUST out!"
Always,
Woody

Hey Hal...NICE WEBSITE! You deserve to have this great publicity, you are very talented and the LV Philharmonic was lucky to have such a wonderful, multi-talented Music Conductor. I am honored that I was able to work under you for awhile when I lived in Vegas. You are a great man and a good friend. Best of luck to you and Betsy! Let's stay in touch - Hugs...Laura

Hello Hal,
Thank you for letting me know about your website. I paid it a visit and enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed performing in the Las Vegas Philharmonic this spring (2005) and look forward to playing next season as your new Assistant-Principal cellist. Have a great summer and I'll see you then!

Dear Hal,
Terrific site. I'm so glad I got to meet you again and spend some time with you and the delightful Betsy. It was such a pleasure to hear the wonderful orchestra as well. Haig would be delighted to know that through your fine musicianship you are continuing to bring beauty and joy to the world through music. You are continuing the dedication, the personal integrity and the sense of humor. It's a great way to live and a great legacy to leave.
Love, Marguerite

Hal's reviews are of the musician. But in his case, the person and the musician are one in the same.

Congratulations on your page. You and Betsy look great! I'm still curious about the next step.
I have attached my daughter's web page, which doesn't have any current performances listed because she is going to HAVE A BABY in two weeks.
Best wishes!

Hi Hal!
Great website! Glad to see you getting the exposure that you deserve.
I was disappointed to see that in the "Quotes" section there were NOT any "Wellerian" quotes or "Wellerisms" included. ;-} Perhaps your webmaster can add some in the near future?!?!
See you on the 4th in LV!
Sean

Hal,
Now the whole world can see Las
Vegas has a first class conductor.
I consider it an honor to be a member of
the Philharmonic Board. Working with you
and being part of your wonderful
orchestra is truly one of the perks of
living in Las Vegas. Weather ranks #2.
You retire........never!!

Congrats on the new site! (Is that the same picture you used back in the 70's with the Ashland Symphony or have you manage to do the "Dick Clark" and find a way to avoid showing your age!)
I really like Lamar's idea. Maybe a Getzen logo?
